1. Food & Water

Animals need access to fresh, clean water and a nutritious diet appropriate to their species, age, size and health requirements.

2. Safe & Comfortable Shelter

They need protection from the elements, a secure environment, a comfortable place to rest, and an area where they feel safe and free from fear.

3. Healthcare

Regular veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, grooming and treatment when injured or ill are essential for maintaining good health.

4. Physical Exercise & Mental Stimulation

Animals need opportunities to move, play, explore and engage their minds. Exercise and enrichment help prevent boredom, stress and behavioural problems.

5. Love, Companionship & Emotional Wellbeing

Animals are sentient beings capable of forming strong emotional bonds. They need kindness, affection, positive social interaction and freedom from neglect, fear and distress.
